I'm using VS 2008 and have a web directory that also serves as a ftp virtual directory. My users ftp XLS file to this directroy. I want to dynamically add links to a page that
that the users can click on view the files. I have the code written and it all works when I'm in the IDE. The problem is when I copy the code to the production server I get an web page error. I pretty sure it's a permission problem. I've tried granting Read & Execute,list folder contents, Read permission to the folder for IUSR, Network Service and ASPNET. I've even given those accounts Full Access. Nothing seems to work. I'm using forms authentication. I could use impersonation but don't want to if there is another alternative. If I use impersonate I only want to give access to the one web folder.
