client side validation of repeater controls

Hi,
I need to validate a couple of controls inside a repeater client side (using custom validator's ClientVaildationFunction). I need to check a textbox if it has numeric values and a dropdown list if its selected index != 0.
I don't seem to be able to access the client id of these controls on the client side. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks.
