What I'm doing that almost works correctly: Multiple themes for a website. Please have a look at this website http://bcfcu.net The user can choose different buttons to display the website in different colors/background images. Its now cookie based after dropping a profile approach.
Issue I'm having that I'm not sure of the cause: The style sheet links that are created are not being applied fast enough so the page is broken for a couple of seconds and then rendered correctly. The slower the users connection the longer it takes to render correctly. Disorganized divs and then snaps into place. If you revisit the same page then everything displays correctly because the stylesheets are cached. This can be repeated by changing the pages theme by clicking on one of the optional theme buttons.
