Try Catch Problem

 I have 2 sub procedures in my app. They both grab data from the database. I have put Try Catch blocks in both procedures. The second procedure is called within the first procedure. The problem is that if an error happens in the second procedure the "Catch" in the second procedure catches the error like it is suppose to, BUT once that happens the code goes back to procedure one (becasue the second procedure was called from the first) and goes into the "Catch" of procedure one and grabs that exception.
How can I prevent the "Catch" in the first procedure from not grabbbing it's exception? Becasue there was nothing wrong in the first procedure just the second.
