I have a form that opens a new window. This new window has an ASP.NET button that closes it through client side code; the OnClientClick event issues a Window.Close(). I need to perform a server side process when the window closes so I added test code to the Unload Event in which I insert a record to a database table but 2 records are inserted instead of one. This behavior is shown if I use IE8. Nevertheles, if I close the window using the normal "red X" button only one record is inserted. Also, only one record is inserted if I use Opera and Firefox.
What is going on?
