Different ordering of events.

just taking over a project from some company and its not so great.

 

so, there is this user control and in this has a drop down list along with a button, when pressed will show certain controls on the page depending on the value of the drop down list.

 

what is odd is that when they select the drop down list first, it retains the item. when they press add (same control).... the selected item of the list changes! I see that when I press the add button, it fires the selected_index changed event first, then it fires the button click event, this should not happen but only should the button click event be fired...

 

any ideas?
