AJAX SlideShowExtender & WS SlideService

I am requested to create a slideshow for which users can upload and delete pictures in a server folder.

My idea is use AJAX SlideShowExtender & WS SlideService that read from the picture folder. Here is what I need some help with:

1) How can the size of the picture be defined and displayed in a particular height/width regardless of the original size of what users upload? Size of original pictures users upload from their camera is typically gigantic.

2) How can a picture counter like "9 of 99" be created with SlideShowExtender & SlideService?

3) How can brief caption/title/description be created along with each picture displayed with SlideShowExtender & SlideService?
