I am working on a project and I have that issue. I the application I am working on consist of submiting riks indicator. So the page is essentially a data insert page. I have used a FormView as my DataWeb contol. I have also used validation controls to control inputs. I am also using SqlDataSource as my datasource control.
Everything is working fine, but I have that little behaviour that I don't want, in fact my boss doesn't want. When inputing data when you want to submit the data by clickling on the submit button the validation controls warm me. And that is ok for me since every field is mandatory. But when you are inputing data and you intentionaly or not hit the ENTER key, data are submitted to the database. And I don't want that. I want the validation control to warn me (or the user)
I don't want to handle the validation on the server side by performing a check on ItemInserting event handler. I only want to use validation controls to prevent data ...
