What is the simplest way to implement a rich text box type control in Asp.Net?

I'm a bit out of practice.  What I'm looking for (I think) is a way to create a textbox on a web page into which one could put both text and images, and then save its contents to a SQL Server varbinary(MAX) field. 
Is there any way to do this without 3rd party controls?  If not, what is the simplest?  We really want as few bells and whistles as possible.
