I have some still diffuculties with databounded controls. Sometimes I want to force to load data in my databounded controls to avoid null reference errors.
When I view the page in my browser there is data loaded by default but when does this happen in the code? Is this happening in the Page_Load function?
And when to use all the different Page state. When should I put code in for example the PreRender state?
In my case I've build sort of search page within my application and it perfectly displays the results. When I click on a staffmember, I go to the staffmember page to view the staffmember. On this last step is where the problems starts. Normally if I would go to my staffmember page then I have to select first the organisation of the staffmember and after that the staffmember itself. Selection goes by 2 listboxes which are connected to earch other. Thats why I manualy have to set those listboxes to the correct value ...
