I have a question that has been bothering me for a couple of days now. I have a file upload feature on a website where a user can upload almost any type of file (i.e. .pdf, .doc, .xls, etc) and that file is given a unique number (i.e. 1.pdf, 2.doc, 3.pdf, 15.xls...etc). I am having a problem having my hyperlink open the file though. For example when I click on the hyperlink for the data record that has 1.pdf associated with it, I get a "Page not Found" error and I know what the problem is but I cannot fix it. I can add the ".pdf" extension to the end of the html string but then I cannot open the .doc files. Here is my code:
