No Redirect on Form Authentication

Hi guys i'm building a site using form authentication. All my settings in my webconfig seem to be correct, meaning correct connection string, provider configurations, etc. when i get to the login page and enter the user information that has been created and on the asp_users table. But when i submit. the login form clears and the page doesn't redirect. Please help and thanks in advance
