i have had Visual Studio 2010 installed for a while, along with SQL Server 2008 R2 - on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.
i recently needed to access a 2012 database, so downloaded the 2012 Express version of MSSQL.
i can access the database, but when i try click on "design" for the tables, i get the first error dialog below.
when i try choose "edit top 200 rows" - i get the 2nd dialog below.
i tried installing ENU\x64\SqlLocalDB.MSI (from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062) as mentioned in a related post,
but it doesnt seem to have helped at all.
