I'm creating a web portal to be used internally as an intranet. I want to use Active Directory groups and users to drive the permissions on my application.
For example, I want to create a Standard User Group that can view things on my app. I want to create an Admin group that can carryout various admin tasks on my app. However I will assign these in my asp.net web portal.
What I was thinking was to import Active Directory users and their groups into my portal and then run a Sync. job each night to keep it in Sync. incase new users/groups were added to AD, this would be auto imported into my APP.
Any ideas of the best way forward?
