Hello everybody, I wasn't sure where to post this question so I decided to do it here.
I'm developing a web application to query some data. This application has to make queries at defined intervals with the help of a Windows Forms application which does some special work. This application is on a separate .exe file.
The queries from the WF application can be executed any time the user desires from a web page, but the queries must also be done at a defined interval of time (6 hours for example)
Considering the interval thing, I thought a solution would be to create a Windows Service which should be runing on background and analising the watch to perform the queries at the desired time. Unfortunately, the web app also must have the ability to change the query interval time inmediately, so I would need to establish communication between the ASP page and the service if I decide to use a Windows Service, but I don't know how to do that.
