I have just deployed my first ASP.net 3.5 website and although it works perfectly offline, I am experiencing difficulty getting it to work online.
I have roles and users set up that work perfectly in the local version of my site - where all my data is stored in a SQL server database on my web server.
Online however, after I enter username and password details into my login control, a windows authentication window pops up saying the following:
The server www ...com at required a username and password
Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection)
No combination of username/password that I have used seem to work in this dialog box.
My connection string states the username /password details for SQL server so I am unsure why it is asking again and I have no i ...
