Migrating from SQL '00 to '08 causes BC30002, "Type not defined" error

Upon changing the ConnectString details within my ApptVacancyDataAccess.dll, my site throws an error: Compiler Error Message: BC30002: Type 'Survey_VersionTableAdapter' is not defined.
When I change the IP and authentication back, the problem goes away and the site works correctly again.
