I have no experience with Cryptography and would appreciate any assistance in pointing me the best direction for information to help solve a problem where I need to decrypt a string value from a text file that apparently has been encrypted using DES. I have been provided a DES Key "in hex format - 16 bytes" that should allow me to do the decryption. An example key is 8C91BCA6B50DA875 and an example of the string that requires decryption is 7D29F56179C84159D37BEE7FE226BB8E (please note this key will not decrypt this value and is only provided as an example).
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
