how to programmatically test for QuickTime in code-behind

I need to know how to programmatically test for QuickTime in code-behind.

I already have a JavaScript solution (shown below for reference); but, I still need need a code-behind version using VB.NET or C#.NET and I need to test relative to FireFox and InternetExplorer.

Do you have any sample code?
