Created an "Ajax-enable WCF Service" to return a list of customers matching text as it is typed into a textbox. On the development PC within IE, it runs really fast. On the server within IE, using SSL (HTTPS), it runs fast. However, running on the client browser across the web to the server, it takes 1-2 minutes per keystroke to update. Why is it so slow? What can I do to make it run faster? Any suggestions? I'm assuming it's a WCF configuration issue. Part of web.config related to the WCF service is shown below. TIA, Gary.
