textbox id and name in a user control

I'm using a small form inside a user control. I have a textbox, with an ID set to "email". 

When the html is generated I noticed that the id and name attributes are replaced by "userControlName$email".

Is there a way to avoid this nomenclature? I'd like that it simply remain with the ID "email".
