Hello Experts,
I installed 'SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with tools' yesterday and now want to try the option to 'install additional components'. I am only practicing these options for educational purpose with the help of a self learning guide and do want any specific additional
component.
When I open SQL Server Installation Center and go to 'Installation'>'New Installation or add features to an existing installation', it asks me to navigate to the folder where I should have the installation media. The problem is that I installed the SQL
Server 2008 R2 Express edition through the executable file available on SQL Server Download site.
Is the only way to install these additional components through the removable media or can I do it through the .exe file?
I will appreciate if you could enlighten me on this. Thanks in advance.
