Based on Drop down list selection - insert data into different tables

Hi
I have a drop down list with various values and Text. Based on end user's selection it is requried to insert into different tabels.
<asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" runat="server"> <asp:ListItem Value="1" Text="Users" /> <asp:ListItem Value="2" Text="Organisation" /> <asp:ListItem Value="3" Text="Users and Organisation" /> </asp:DropDownList>
 
When end user selects Text="Users" it is required to insert data into Users Table as such when Users and Organisaiton is selected it is required to insert into two tabels ( i.e, Users and Organisation).
I will be using Stored procedures to do the data insertion for this.
Can I simply check in button click event, what the user has selected and call stored procedure to do the insert as shown below or ...
