Please re-direct me if there is a better place ot ask this question.
I am writing a web application where the user registers before being able to use the site. As seen in many commercial sites, the user clicks a checkbox indicating acceptance of the end-user terms & conditions as part of the registration process.
The question: Is there a best-practice on how to "register" the fact that the user did agree to the terms? I don't mean just checking that the checkbox was clicked but rather a way to "record" the fact that the user did agree to the terms (the equivalent of a saving a signed copy of an agreement)? Or is the common practice to assume that if the user did register then the terms must have been accepted.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
