How to make a checkboxlist not one giant vertical list.

Ok, So I have a CheckBoxList of about 250-300 checkboxes.  This number is not consistent because I am loading using Linq to Sql, so the Database is changing.   Right now, it is just a huge vertical list of all of these items.  I need to set it up in like a 3 column list.  Is there a way to make a CheckBoxList wrap after so many lines and then continue.  Or, will I have to make three seperate checklists and load 1- so many, so-many to another so-many, etc.
