Hi, I'm working on some basic url rewriting, but can't get anything to work.. No matter what I'm trying to, it fails :P

My goal: To redirect all requests with a few exceptions, based on the user-friendly url, to a page specified through a database lookup

Fx /some-page/ should redirect to some-page.aspx if the database says so

The first time around I used IIS to configure the url rewriting, I had the rewriting module look for all requests (*) and made some exceptions like /images/*

That actually worked great, except when I eventually deploy the site i can't get to IIS on the server and I'm still not able to actually redirect the page to a specific file

Later on i learned about global.asax, HTTPModule and HTTPHandler and found that it was the way to go.. I started out with a global.asax approach:

protected void Application_BeginRequest(object sender, EventArgs e)
  &n ...

Go to the complete details ...
