I’m looking for some advice on the best way to proceed, I’ve done a few simple web apps but I could be missing something really obvious. I have a relatively simply search application, user inputs the search criteria in and hits search, and the results retuned into a datatable which is displayed in a listview.
A fair number of records can be returned, and the desired behavior (not my idea) is to have the results returned and then the user filter these results if they wish. I’m trying to limit the hits to the database, so should I store the datatable in a session or a cache or is this a bad idea and is there a better approach.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
