Our organization has a "help ticket" system on our intranet.  The user calls up the site, enters a new ticket, fills out some text boxes on the form and makes some selections in some combo-boxes and then click the submit button.  An additional feature is to be able to attach files to the help ticket.

My question is about a completely separate application that I am building (C#) that needs to create a help ticket in certain situations.  The help ticket system doesn't really support any external automation so I thought I might be able to fill out a ticket programmatically, perhaps using the WebRequest classes or something similar.

Can anyone point me to some articles or other information regarding this?  Can it even be don?  What considerations must I think about?

Any help is appreciated.

 Thanks,

Chris
