Hi,
I'm writing a webservice that will service a flash frontend.
It is a room booking application which needs to check the db for conflicts before allowing multiple dates to be placed in a room.
I will be passed an array of roomIDs and an array of dateranges. The idea is that I check the db for any time conflicts and try to place each of the dates with the same room ID.
I'm thinking for each roomID, I will need to check for any records that clash with the dates.
Performance-wise would I be best doing multiple calls to the db for each roomID or to fill a dataset for all the ids and check through it within the webservice?
I am more comfortable doing this via an sql statement but am wondering whether it would be best to make use of the .net framework.
Any pointers much appreciated,
Barry
