Response.Redirect and Thread Abort Exception

Hi,

I'm logging unhandled excpetions with a 'Page_Error' handler in my page's base class.

Firstly,  the thread abort exception thrown by Response.Redirect is not always handled by this page error handler. Why might this happen? Sometimes its logged where as other times its not!

Secondly, I want to avoid logging this error. I've tried passing 'false' as the second parameter to Response.Redirect but this doesn't stop the page from processing which is what I want to happen. So I'm trying to filter out this exception with the following code...
