Changing ImageButton ImageUrl Programmically C#

 I have 6 ImageButtons that are embedded in a master page.  When the used clicks the Image to redirect to another page I would like the image to change.  The below code works only when the used clicks the same page.  If the used clicks another page the image is not updated unless the user clicks the image button twice.
How do I get the ImageButton ImageUrl to change the first time when Clicked?
