I just bought windows 7 and I am having trouble with an mdf I moved over. It is on my desktop. I am the administrator (or I should be). SSMS won't let me navigate to my desktop, even though I have tried everything to set the proper permissions.
I am also trying to test a connection to this mdf in C#2010 but it keeps giving me "Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure in starting the process for the user instance. The connection will be closed."
I like working from my desktop. How can I get it to open up?
