Hi, just looking for some suggestions with this.
I am currently working on an application that will allow users to sign up a number of "features" available a web site. I have created my own provider model so that I can easily add new features such as CMS, PhotoGallery, ContactForm, Newsletter, Store etc.
The idea is that users can sign up for each of these have access to them within their own personal workspace.
I need to easily control access to the features of my web site i.e. enable the CMS for user but disable the Store.
Perhaps the easiest method of doing this would be to add a Role for each feature (my app already allows for new roles to be created within it's administration interface). I could then just implement User.IsInRole logic to check whether they have access to use that feature.
Would this be the suggestion of others as I wonder whether something better could be achieved by extending the ProfileProvider.
Thanks.
