I have an interesting question about visual studio and source safe. We have been using studio 05' and source safe 05' for a while. I occasionally have an issue where I start a get latest and go to a different window to work on something until the get completes (no problems so far). Here is where it gets interesting. Often a modal dialog pops up prompting me to override or checkout writable files. If I miss this pop-up and continue doing what I am doing it may lockout visual studio. I eventually notice the pop-up and click on it, but the box does not respond to any actions??? I can click on it and nothing happens and visual studio is now locked because it has a modal window open. The only way to close visual studio is to open task manager and kill the task.
Is anyone else having this issue?
