creating web dialog like page

hello all
recently im trying to create a dialog web page.I saw an example of it in the asp.net officail website which contains the silverlight advertisment on it.i want to create a dialog page like that.the functionality of that page will be a bit different as i want to execute a serverside code from that child page.

i found an example of it at this link
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/articles/20050319.asp
i tried to implement that as well the main page is opening a child page as a dialog but the problem is
when i press the button on child that execute server side code.it opens a new child page on click.Server code is executed perfectly but why it opens a new child page

thanks
