Hi,
I have a usercontrol which contains a A-Z of links. When one of these links is clicked the content of the userControl changes to reflect the selected letter.
The problem here is easy, but I'm perplexed as to the most effecient solution. I need an A-Z of links each one of which, when clicked, causes the form to post back whilst submitting a value equal to the letter clicked on. The most obvious solution is simply to create 26 linkbuttons and have a different onclick event for each one. But there must clearly be a better solution than this, such as ...
* creating all the buttons dynamically and then binding them to the same event-handling code
* creating the buttons as static html links and sticking in some javascript to make the form post back (it's in an UpdatePanel, so the JS may not be straightforward)
Or anything else you can suggest!
Ideas on the best solution and some suggested code much appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt ...
