Hi - I am using Visual Studio 2005 (on Windows XP SP3, single computer, WORKGROUP domain) and developing a simple web service application.
I have set the Start Options... to "NTLM Authentication" because I want to test this feature of the application.
When I go to startup the application and view the Service page (via Debug->Start) the browser comes up and presents me with a standard Username/Password Login box as expected.
I am then attempting to login using my logged on user account (which is an administrator) and my password but it fails every time with a 403.
No matter what combination of credentials I try (simple username/password or [pcname]\username & password) it always fails.
Can anyone help me figure out why?
