My problem is that I am designing many web forms with nearly identical code behind files and when a problem comes up in 1, it must be corrected in all of the web forms. Each web form .aspx is unique in that it has it's own HTML mark up and design, they all share the same input like text boxes and buttons however. The only real difference in all of the C# code behind files is a version number. For example, page1 version 200 has all the C# code to check the input, write the DB and reference it's version number where applicable. page 1 version 201 again uses the same C# code except that it references version 201 etc. There is so much redundency which I must eliminate somehow but I have yet to find a way so that they can all use the same C# file while also specificing unique information.
If I use inheritance, the text boxes won't exist in the base class, if I simply change the codefile and inherits in the page directive, I get to use the same code but I can't make ...
