Using gridview for user entry............
1.) gridview itself is unbound
2.) gridview has mixture of dropdownlist (uses SQLdatasource for items) and open text boxes
3.) both dropdownlist and text boxes are templatefield columns (itemtemplate)
4.) Row does not have a "Select" column
Question #1 - how is it that editing the cells (text or dropdowns) is not raising any events related to the grid........rowediting/rowupdating/rowupdated etc. What am I missing?
Question #2 - could resolving Question #1 allow me to capture a "leaving cell" event for data validation?
As I am accustomed to VB.net datagrids, the switch to ASP gridviews has become a source of much frustration and angst. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
