First off, I do understand that ASP is a server based scripting language and the client data is not directly accessable. I have searched the whole evening but can't find a good workaround that works. Here is my code so far (below),
The main idea here is that when the page loads there is a JS script available that takes the current client time and puts that in a hidden input field. The alert message in the JS shows the time, actually read from the hidden input, so it is working, but the problem is that the server code is executing before the JS, so the default value from the hidden input (aaaa) is presented in the codebehind. I have seen solutions with making an extra postback to actually post the data to be able to access the sent values. Nothing of that worked smoothly, so I'm asking, does anybody has a better idea than this? There must be a need for these sort of checks, or is it such an uncommon use?
