I installed SQL Server 2012 Express some weeks back and it was working fine.
Today I installed Visual Studio 2010 Express (because I have Win 7 machine rather than the Win 8 required for VS 2012 Express).
After this I get the following error when I tried to run either the SQL Server Management Studio or Visual Studio Express: "Only some of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 products on this computer have been upgraded to Service Pack 1. None will work correctly
until all have been upgraded. To upgrade, close all Visual Studio products and then install Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 ... etc." .. and the the SQL Server Management Studio or Visual Studio does not open.
I uninstalled Visual Studio 2010 Express and now SQL Server Management Studio opens fine.
So the questions are:
1. Are the two incompatible? .. or is there a tweak to allow them to coexist and work together?
