I am new to ASP.NET 2.0 and completely stuck here. I am using the VS 2005 Login Control and Forms Authentication on a SQL server 2005. I can log into the application just fine on the localhost. However, once I publish my application and access it over the internet the login doesn't work anymore. To be more precise: I provide the correct credentials, press the log-in button and the page just refreshes. I DON't get a message that the password was incorrect. However, if I provide wrong credentials I do get the error that they were wrong.
I'm completely lost here.
Is there anyone out there who solved this? As I am a bloody beginner with ASP.NET 2.0 I reckon others have stumbled over this issue before.
