save the generated thumbnail image

 Hi
i have a function that return the thumbnail image of a large image and return it as buffer of bytes :  Dim pBuffer() As Byte = Utility.CreateThumbnail(imageName, maxHeight, maxWidth, extension)
'set response content type: image/jpeg, image/gif, image/png, etc...
Response.ContentType = "image/" & extension 'write the image to the output stream
Response.OutputStream.Write(pBuffer, 0, pBuffer.Length)
Response.End() what it all does is to display it on webpage but now i want to save that thumbnail........Any ideas how it can be done?
