Most times I don't want a preselected item.
it's too bad DropDownList(System.Collections.IEnumerable items, string dataValueField, string dataTextField, object selectedValue) doesn't take a null for selectedValue. Well, it takes it, it just doesn't do anything with it.
Is there any other way than adding a new "blank" item in the IEnumerable?
