I am now to the forum and asp.net as well. There is one issue you could help me solve. I am working on a login application where the users can log in and where they have access to other applications (this is defined by the login app administrator). For the authentication purpose i have set up the aspnetdb and the corresponding asp schema. The authentication of the users against the login app works well. Here are some questions:
- What is the best approach / practice to define the access to other web applications?
- Looking at the tutorial about membership it states that the same user login can be associated with different applications. Are there multiple entries in the user table with the same user id and different application id's? Because the user name is defined like unique constraint. The admin should be able to choose the application from the list and associate it to the user.
