The reason for this post is to get the communities' idea on a solution that I worked out for my web app.  I am implementing Membership to my web site and decided to use the data store that ships with ASP.NET 2.0.  Due to my needs I added a column to the Membership table.  The problem came when I tried to add the additional info into CreateUser.  I attempted to write a custom provider using the samples on this site and others but was unable to get them to work.  Every time I tried to rewrite the code to accept the additional overload I would get an error saying "no suitable method found to override."
After trying to get this to work and having no success I decided on the following solution however I am unsure as the the implications of this solution.
First I declared a new variable in my custom provider which is basically the SqlMembershipProvider with these changes.
