Why is it that validation controls other than custom validation controls always fire fine on the first form submit. You go and fix those and then only when you submit again, does your custom validators fire. I want those to fire first thing along with the rest.
For example, this does not fire on the first submission of the web form but DOES only after I satisfy the initial validation errors that come up on the first submission and submit the web form a second time thereafter:
<asp:CustomValidator ID="cusValCompanyName" ControlToValidate="ddlEventType" Enabled="true" OnServerValidate="cusValCompanyName_ServerValidate" runat="server" />
basically all of my custom validation does not happen until a second form submit. Why is that? is this just the way it is if you have standard validators out there in addition to custom validators?
