Problem in persisting the Object type custom property in custom control

Hi,
I have created a custom control in which i have a property of an object. When i drag and drop the control in the design mode and set the value to that property, the value is retained in the control. But after setting the value if i try to drag and drop the control from one place to another, the control gets re intialised and so the properties. My values are not retained when i reposition the controls.
Below is the property i am using in my control, where ActionTypes is an object.
