I am creating a site which uses the aspnetdb for authentication (form). Once the user is authenticated they are then performing some tasks around the site. I need a way to grab their details (username etc) and insert it into my own database.
I can do this but i need to relate the user to my database. By that i mean if Bob made a change i can insert his name and userID into my own table but this would repeat everytime he inserts a record. I cant create my own users table as i have no way to insert the user thats just logged on or avoid inserting a duplicate user. So is there a way around this or should i just link the two databases (If possible)? If yes how would i do that?
