I have an ASP.NET web application that will NOT write to an Application (custom) Event Log I've created on the production server. On my development PC it has no problem writing to my application specific event log. On my test server is has no problem writing to the custom application event log, but on my production server it will not write anything. I get no errors at all, it just doesn't write anything -- I've even put a special page on the production server just to test writing to the custom application event log ... it never writes to it and I get no errors.
I've done the following:
1. Made sure the account my ASP.NET application is using has appropriate rights to the custom application event log in registry
2. Made user the account my ASP.NET application uses has access to the appropriate directory on the server
